Scary Movie is a series of movie that parody horror films and makes them hilarious so that a wider range of viewers can enjoy these horror films without being scared. Though scary movie parodies these films, they don't really explain much about them leaving the viewers to sometimes not get the reference if they have not seen the film. The sexual innuendos and jokes made throughout the parody makes it a mature film for those over 15 years of age but that is not a problem since all horror films are usually mature or R-rated. If you have not seen any of these movies or have only started in the middle of them, don't worry, the plot for each movie is sepearate and not a sequel or prequel to each other. Only some recurring and main characters are in each of movies and the parodies are always different to fit in with the changing times of horror films. Overall, scary movie 1-4 is one of the funniest movie parodies I have seen to date and would definitely recommend it to all fans of comedy anywhere. 4.5/5 stars.
